“The Office of International Affairs (Director Kim Jeong-hoon) held the Global Sports Day, Sportvibe - Beyond the Wall, for international exchange students and domestic students on November 11 as part of the second semester of the 2025 academic year.” “This sports festival was designed to help international exchange students adapt more actively to university life in Korea and to foster natural friendships through sports activities. The program was supported by operating funds from the RISE Project Group (Director Lee Seo-jung) and aimed to provide opportunities for cooperation and communication beyond cultural barriers through a community-based, sports-centered program.” “This semester, a total of 21 international exchange students from 12 universities in 11 countries are studying at the University. These students were selected through various international exchange programs, including the GKS Student Support Program of the National Institute for International Education under the Ministry of Education, the Campus Asia Korea-Japan-China Expansion Program, and the AIMS Program. The sports day brought together approximately 50 participants, including the 21 international exchange students, domestic students of the University, and International Student Promotion Ambassadors, who took part in a variety of sports activities and enjoyed active interaction and exchange.” The main programs included wave-making activities, cooperative hula hoop passing, balloon tower building, group tug-of-war, group jump rope, and relay races. The activities were designed to encourage students from different countries and academic majors to work together as teams, demonstrating cooperation, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Through team-based competitions, participants naturally collaborated and built a sense of camaraderie in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Director Kim Jeong-hoon of the Office of International Affairs stated, ‘This sports day was a meaningful occasion where exchange students were able to experience one another’s cultures firsthand and grow closer in a natural way.’ He added, ‘We will continue to expand a wide range of exchange programs to ensure that students have a more enjoyable and enriching experience during their time at our University.’
