On January 1, Korea Maritime and Ocean University(KMOU) had "New Year's Sunrise On Board 2014" ceremony off the coast of Haeundae, Busan.

This event was held on board of KMOU Training Ship "HANBADA", which is the biggest one of the Asia. More than 200 people participated in this event including KMOU President, KMOU faculty members, expected university students for 2014, donators of the university development funds and concerned people of related organizations.

For this event lasted from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., T/S HANBADA sailed from the KMOU dock to off the coast of Haeundae via Oryukdo. During the voyage of HANBADA, various programs were conducted including sunrise appreciation, flying baloons with New Year's resolutions and Korean traditional percussion band's performance.
