Recently, six KMU students were chosen as prize winners of "8th Busan Future Scientist Award" held by Busan City and Federation of Busan Science and Technology. The awardees are as follows:

- Excellence Award of Natural Science(Doctoral Program)

- Excellence Award of Engineering Science(Doctoral Program)

   Lee Yei-Su(Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

- Grand Prize of Engineering Science(Master Program)

   Kim Chang-Hwae(Dept. of Nano Semiconductor Engineering)

- Participation Prize of Natural Science(Undergraduate)

   Kim Hea-Sung, Myeong Sung-Hyo(Division of Marine Environment & Bioscience)

- Participation Prize of Engineering Science(Undergraduate)

   Lee Chang-Ho(Dept. of Energy & Resources Engineering)

“Busan Future Scientist Award” was established In 2005 for the purpose of developing academic research abilities of Busan region in the filed of natural science and engineering and discovering and fostering local talents. Award is given in three sectors, which are Research Achievement of Graduate School Students, Research Paper of Undergraduate School Students, and High School Students.
