Korea Maritime & Ocean University on its 77th Anniversary”: “We will make every effort to nurture talents”
The 77th anniversary will be commemorated with a ceremony at the Media Hall on the 4th … and will be attended by the former and incumbent presidents, as well as many distinguished guests
Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU, President Do Deok-hee) will host a celebration ceremony for its “77th anniversary” at the Media Hall on November 4, 2022, one day before its actual date, November 5.
Since its inception in 1945, KMOU has contributed to the development of Korea’s maritime industry and the nurturing of talents in the field. Mr. Kitack Lim, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is among its alumni.
Many distinguished guests will attend the ceremony, including KMOU President Prof. Do Deok-hee, former KMOU presidents and deans, former and incumbent presidents of the KMOU alumni association, academic board members, and representatives of award winners.
The event will begin with the opening ceremony followed by: ▲Awards presentation for KMOU symposium participants; ▲Medal ceremony for long-serving faculty members; ▲Presentation of KMOU alumni association president awards; ▲Medal ceremony for model students.
KMOU plans to continue fulfilling its responsibility to nurture skilled and experienced talents for Korea’s maritime industry who can contribute to the country’s future development.
KMOU President Prof. Do Deok-hee said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for their support and endeavor for KMOU’s continuous and outstanding development throughout its 77-year-long history,” and “KMOU students, alumni, and faculty members will be collaborating to open the new era of the maritime and ocean industry for the next century.”
